Oh. My. YES!! Roots was all I imagined it would be! After seeing Chef Tiffany on Beat Bobby Flay, I had to try out her food since she is local. The food exceeded my expectations! Fine dining at its finest. The dishes were delicious and the service outstanding. The restaurant is modern and clean. There’s a very happy atmosphere here and Patricia was EXCELLENT! Thank you for a wonderful experience!

We went here for mom’s birthday and the service was impeccable. The chefs were amazing and everyone one else in between. The food was phenomenal. It was all so good that I really don’t have a favorite. The shrimp and grits (not pictured) were simply divine. We dug into fast to get a picture. I’ve never had peaches taste so wonderful. You must get the cornbread (not pictured) as well. You will not be disappointed. Also you have to they dessert even if you are full because the cobbler is a must. The duck fat fried chicken is so scrumptious. It is enough for the whole family. There isn’t a single thing that I didn’t like. For drinks we had the Red Rose and the Perfect Pair. Both were equally amazing and delicious but I did prefer the Perfect Pair. Definitely add this place to your restaurants to try

Fantastic southern comfort cuisine with great service. They have live music on the weekend, which adds even more to the intimate yet comfortable vibe. The menu is full of elevated southern comfort dishes yet the stand make you feel like you’re dining at your mama or grandmas house at a holiday dinner. We brought our 11 month old baby and the staff were so sweet with him. Cocktails were also spot on. Our table order their signature old fashioned, medium-bodied red wine, and espresso martinis and all exceeded expectations. Chef Tiffany has outdone herself with this experience!

Every dish was phenomenal! I can’t rave enough about this place. The fried chicken is out of this world. The atmosphere was cozy and I recommend making reservations or you will wait (worth it!). I’ll be back again real soon. My waist will hate me, but my soul fulfilled.

I enjoyed the experience here quite a bit. It's a nice elevated experience without being pretentious or inaccessible. Service was outstanding. Drinks were made well. The food was very good and cooked well, but too aggressively salted. I enjoy salty food, but this crossed the line for me. That was the only negative.i will be back for sure, hoping for a more refined hand on the seasoning

My husband and I went here to celebrate our anniversary. And as you see it’s 4:33am and I’m still thinking about this food. We had the greens with hot water cornbread for an appetizer and it was perfection. We had the Oxtails & Jerk Lamb chops for our entree and they were both just, WOW!! For desert we had the Warm Chocolate Budino and the Peach cobbler, they were amazing. Benjamin was or waiter & he was so pleasant and made our experience here that much more sweeter. Really the whole staff were just beautiful. Run, don’t walk to try this restaurant you will not regret it!

We had a girls night out dinner here & we’re not disappointed! I’m not a “salad girl” but we got two orders of the peach salad and it was one of the best things I have ever had. We split the duck fat fried chicken/ biscuits/ potatoes & even shared the succotash. The veggies were lackluster but literally everything else was amazing. The mock tails & cocktails were great & our server was very sweet and helpful. We got to have a live cellist experience which just made things better. The hostess was sweet about us adding another girl last minute as well! I would love to come back with my family!

I really enjoyed this restaurant. Everything from the Sunday Social non-alcoholic cocktail to the Warm Chocolate Budino dessert was Delicious. The cast iron cornbread went down well the next day when I ate the left overs. The jerk lamb chops were spicy but not to the point where I had to push my plate away. I didn't have any left overs of that 😋. I dined solo without a reservation so I was seated at the counter seating that faces the open kitchen. Very attentive and friendly staff. This does seem like a popular place so I would make a reservation. They open at 5:00 pm for dinner. I got there at 5:30 pm and many tables were filled. I would definitely visit again when I am in the Dallas area.
